New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs – all the same?

  1. I tasted the Omaka Springs at a friend’s house and thought it was pretty delightful. I had been promising a wine happy hour to one of my favorite farmers at E Lib Monday Mkt so I took this bottle to last Monday market–tasted really good even out of plastic cups and helped the mediocre Lebanese food (NOT Najat’s!) go down. I find a lot of NZ SBs to be too grapefruit-y and bitter. Not this one–semillon is a nice touch–and at a great price.
